Isle Royale - Peter's shot of the Menagerie Island Light conveys so much of the history of the island, and by implication, the people who lived and made their living there. I imagine the ships and schooners, sailing into port, depending on the lighthouse keeper to signal safe passage to the docks. Isle Royale, such a beautiful place, where lighthouses stand in the fog as reminders of the courage of the sailors in Lake Superior's sometimes treacherous seas.
