I love this photograph so much. It captures the crystalline beauty of Lake Superior on a perfect winter day. It seemed the perfect spiritual inspiration. I read the first part of the Gospel of John and felt inspired to write the poem, simple as it is. The focus is on the Light of the World, blessing us with the grace and beauty incarnate in nature. Both a beautiful winter piece and a celebration of the Christmas season, the 'Light' has broader implications for the many paths in the spiritual world.
